Vitamin D – Which One For Me?

Are you wanting to take nutritional supplements, or maybe you already do, and are wondering what, within formulations, can be vegetarian and vegan, or not? 

Public Health England are now advising that everyone should take a 10microgram supplement of Vitamin D, especially if spending more time indoors.

But not all vitamin D is the same. Vitamin D2 is always suitable for vegans, but vitamin D3 can be derived from an animal source (such as sheep’s wool) or lichen (a vegan-friendly source).  Ask in store which formulations are most suitable for you.
