Lockdown eating: meals together makes a comeback.

New research reported in Food Quality and Preference (Jan 2021) has shown that lockdown has really affected the way we think about and buy foods. So, can you relate?…

The study pointed out that many people are feeling down and anxious throughout the pandemic and this can lead to changes in the way we eat. Some people are also relying on other people’s food choices if they are getting help with their food shopping, so might not have the same choice as they did before the pandemic began.

But there is some good news! Whilst home schooling means that parents and carers are having to take time out to feed the children, many families are sitting down to eat more often.

This is a great chance to touch base with how everyone in the family is doing, just like days gone by. Some old traditions are making their way back, it seems….
