“Research revealed”: Montmorency cherries

Montmorency cherries for a healthy heart

This year, scientists working on Montmorency tart cherry juice found that it could help to maintain healthy heart parameters after seven days of taking it.

Research found that it helped with blood pressure, fasting glucose levels and total cholesterol (and ratio of HDL cholesterol in the blood).

This is wonderful news for anyone interested in the science of phytonutrients, which are strongly antioxidant, which in part explains why they are so pivotal in the health of many body systems, organs and tissues.

It’s amazing to think that nature provides us with nutrients and other health substances to help us support our health
